A Critical Study of Britain/France Public Administration’s Points of Dissimilarity
In this article, we are going to be looking at the British administrtion system, French administration system, Public Administration systeem. Inspite of all the above mentioned similarities, there are still many points of dissimilarities but few will be disauaged.
|1||In this system, public servant is required to be political neutral. They cannot participate in active polities||Civil servant are politically not neutral they can criticize political decisions on can join in active politics.|
|2||Due to political stability, political Boss have effective control over administration||In the country there is political instability because of multi party system. This result in frequent in ministerial changes.|
|3||Bureaucracy has no discretionary powers||Bureaucracy has vast discretionary powers|
|4||Existence of rule of law which governs everybody.||There is a set of law called administrative law which governs only civil servants.|
|5||In Britain prime ministers occupy very important roles||In France prime minister has not much|
|6||In the country administrative system is progressive and devitalized one||The system is traditional ridden and centralized one.|

On the whole British administrative system is very efficient, it has completely shown its adaptability both in time of war and peace. It has also very successfully accepted the principle of political mentality. Inspite its difficulties it has ably guided political bosses and created a name for itself as a competent and honest system.
On the other hand, France public administrative system has been credited for running country administration without any disruption inspite of political instability and lack of political guidance even at critical times.
- They should be different between theory and practices in administrative system.
- Countries should employ or adopt the rule of law as it is in England as this will make all people to be governed by the same set of law and everybody will be considered equal be fine the law.
- Countries should as well employ administrative law.
- Countries should learn to selected suitable candidates for public services.
Countries should employ recruitments and training in their public service.
