Fish farming is a branch of aquaculture that confines fish in an area for the purpose of harvesting for ones benefit or gain. This practice dates back to the early age that is mainly carried out to sustain the quest of man for food.
It is one of the cheapest and profit oriented business which a farmer can simply engage into without having much stress and shortages. Fish are rich in protein and did not have any ecological or geographical barrier in consumption.

Pond Construction In Fish Farming
Fish pond is water holding object which fish can be reared to attain different sizes and growth which is the main focal point of fish farming. It can be plastic or mobile pond, concrete pond, earthen pond and wooden vat.
It is advisable to start fish pond construction in dry season. Mainly concrete and earthen ponds are widely used.
The pond system usually consist of various compartments with specific uses such as nursery pond, fry pond production or rearing pond, table size fish pond and marketable fish pond, all this compartment are being controlled by inlet and outlet pipe, which monitored the water inflow and outflow in the pond and help in water management in fish culture.
